New water culture and the Framework Directive: case study of the Andalusian Mediterranean Basin.
This article aims to show the changing paradigm, legally sanctioned by the Water Framework Directive, which emphasises aquatic ecosystems and water quality as well as the guarantee of water supplies in the current changing climate. This change is urgent and compulsory in a State of Law. Yet the Andalusian Water Authority (AAA) has not applied these urgent demands and requirements rigorously and must continue to supply water with the participation of social agents and the public in general.
